Obituary
Sara F. Stone, age 96, died at Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Sara was born in Buffalo, New York, and raised her children there until moving to Boynton Beach, Florida, in the 1980s. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 2014. Sara was a member of Temple Beth Zion in Buffalo, New York and Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach, Florida, and was a Life Member of Hadassah. She enjoyed knitting and participating with the Ladies of The Legacy Willow Bend Annual Knitting Distribution Event, which each year donates thousands of hats, scarves, children’s blankets, gloves and washcloths they knit or crochet to various local organizations. Sara was preceded in her death by her husband of over 50 years, Dan L. Stone, and is survived by her two sons, Andrew Stone and his wife Lisa, of Rockville, Maryland, and Robert Stone and his wife Renee, of Dallas, Texas, and her four grandchildren, Jennifer Stone of Dallas, Texas, Zachary Stone of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jamie Stone of Chicago, Illinois, and Tyler Stone of McLean, Virginia.
