James Emanuel Staif beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away July 26, 2020. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. James is survived by his wife Carol, son Greg and Linda Staif, daughter Stacy and Sydney Winchester. His grandchildren include Zac, Nic and Mia Staif and Cora and Everett Winchester and niece Gretchen Zeithammel. He is preceded in death by his sister Dolores Zeithammel. James was born in Berwyn, Illinois in 1941. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Architecture and a Masters in Structural Engineering and where he met his beloved wife of almost 55 years. They were blessed with 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He was active at First United Methodist Church of McKinney and Eldorado Country Club and enjoyed spending his days on the golf course. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James Staif may be made to Vitas Healthcare, 2716 Lee Street, Suite 100, Greenville, Texas 75401.
