obit pic brayshaw obit pic brayshaw obit pic brayshaw David Ernest Brayshaw, 77, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Bradley University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and received an MBA from Western Illinois University. He began his long and distinguished engineering career with Collins Radio working on aerospace and defense contracts. He then moved into a consulting role with Ernest & YoungCapgemini in an operational and executive capacity. David followed his consulting career with executive level positions at Alcatel and AVO International. In 2011, he retired from McDonald Technologies as their Chief Technical Officer. Along with playing the clarinet, David earned his ham radio license at the age of 14 and also obtained his pilot’s license in his early 20s. He looked for any opportunity to pilot his family, friends and business associates over the years. He enjoyed working in his ham-shack, tackling household projects, attending concerts and traveling. David was committed to his faith and was extremely proud of his sons and their accomplishments. He will be remembered for his generosity, selflessness, even temperament, kindness and his humor. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Keefe Brayshaw, son Douglas E. Brayshaw, son Jeffrey D. Brayshaw (Kristine), grandson David S. Brayshaw, nephew David R. Brayshaw (Leana), and nephew Ernest Randolph (Kim). He is proceeded in death by his sister Taymar Randolph and his parents Ernest and Eleanor Brayshaw. A private memorial service will be held at Northwest Bible Church where he was a member. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
