Wainwright, Deborah Ann
Obituary
Debbie Wainwright of Wylie, Texas passed away on August 16, 2020, from natural causes at the age of 71. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area in California, she was the eldest of two daughters born to Loreen and Daniel Wainwright. Debbie graduated from Burlingame High School and the University of Wyoming, where she received a BS in Psychology. Debbie lived in Tucson, Arizona, and worked for IBM for many years before moving to Texas. She moved to Texas to be closer to her sister Wendy, who passed away in 2005. Debbie’s parents also moved from California to Wylie, Texas. Debbie helped care for her parents until their deaths. Debbie will be remembered as a devoted friend to Margaret Sanchez of San Jose, CA, Sabine Bryttegard of Palm Desert, CA, and Jill Hataway of Wylie, TX, and cousin of John Arnold, OR. Debbie had a remarkable sense of humor; she was an avid animal lover, extremely forgiving, and had a very kind heart. If you were lucky enough to know her and be her friend, it was for life. Debbie left her mark on so many of us, and we will always hold her memory close to our hearts. A bright light has gone out. Debbie will be greatly missed by all of us privileged enough to call her friend. Debbie and Wendy will be laid to rest in California with their parents. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.

Thank you for the many years of friendship. You live on in my memory where you will never die. Until we meet again, my friend, bye for now.
I was so sorry to hear the news of Debbie’s passing. She was so strong and had such a lively spirit. We met in 2006 when her father and my mother reunited at age 86 as close former high school acquaintances, after both of their spouses had sadly passed away. I treasure those years together and the new memories made and shared by our families. Her love of animals and dedication to her father will always be remembered. May her soul rest in peace.
I am so sorry to hear news of Debbie. I met her through her sweet sister Wendy. I will miss her laughter and smile.
Deb and I were friends for 12 or so years. She was a really good person and a great friend (tears). She will be missed here in Wylie, Tx. We’ll see each other again Deb. Steve
