Obituary
George Carleton Kraus, age 87 died at home in Plano, TX on December 10, 2020. Born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on September 27, 1933. He was in the USAF, serving during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in geology. He worked for Teledyne Geotech until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Allen, TX. He was a charter member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Sam Johnson Chapter. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rolande Kraus and five children, George Kraus Jr (Helen), Karen Anderson (Mark), Janet Jackson (Kevin), Nancy Howard (Shawn) and Michael Kraus (Marion). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Eric Anderson (Ashley), Katie Anderson, Meagan Cobb (Ben), Anastasia Marston (Sam), Natasha Kraus, Victoria Kraus and Travis Miller (Bonnie) and one great-grandchild, Cordelia Marston. Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Angel Catholic Church, 1914 Ridgeview Drive, Allen, TX 75013 for the family only on Saturday, December 19th at 11:00. Due to COVID, the Memorial Mass will be streamed live at https://vimeo.com/490295782 or at https://ourladyofangels.com/live-mass. Interment will be at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions are welcome in George’s name to Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church (https://ourladyofangels.weshareonline.org) or DFW Honor Flight (http://www.honorflightdfw.org/donate). Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
