Obituary
Willie was born to the union of Willie Brown, Sr., and Mattie Brown (Battles), in Jackson, Mississippi, May 24, 1926. He was their only child and accepted Christ at an early age. His family migrated to Chicago, Illinois where he spent most of his years. Willie graduated from Dunbar High School in 1946 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He later became a Supervisor at the Chicago Post Office. He moved on and began another career scheduling routes for a major Transit Corporation which serviced buses for school children. Willie had a major love of music and introduced his family to all genres. His major hobby was performing as a DJ in major clubs, and various venues in Chicago. His wives Etherine (Tillmon) Brown-Johnson and Shirley (Harris) Brown-Liggans preceded him in death. Wille had 8 children and dozens of children and great-grandchildren. He will be missed.
