Wanda Lou Damstra (Grueber) age 84, of Irving Texas passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born February 21, 1936 in Superior Nebraska. She graduated in 1954 from Belleville High School of Kansas. Wanda was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was actively involved. Wanda was a surgical nurse and that is where she met the love of her life, Philip Damstra. Wanda enjoyed gardening, bird watching and volunteering. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved to entertain. Proceeded in death by her husband, Philip Damstra, her parents, Arthur Otto William Grueber and Thressa Viola Carpenter, her sons, Glen Eickman and Brad Eickman. She is survived by her two brothers, Robert Logan and Philip Logan, stepdaughters, Lynn Kroll, Vicki Richards, Sara Cooper, grandchildren, Samantha Martin, Alex Grall, Amanda Cherie, Dustin Kroll, Lacey Kroll and Leona Eickman. Great grandchildren, Hayley Martin, Zachary Martin, Carter Kroll, Caitlyn Kroll, Conner Kroll, Max Cooper, Brady Cooper, Selah Cook, several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Services pending. I miss you grandmother. I will watch Anne of Green Gables and the Sound of music this weekend in your honor. You were a mentor and example to live by. I miss you so very much.
Wanda was a beautiful soul and wonderful servant to God. She was like a Mother to me . I miss your advise & great humor. I am happy that you are at peace & finally with Phil & the boys. Love you.
