Wibur Bond “Bill” Grof, 84, died Monday, August 5, 2013 in Dallas, Texas.
Born August 10, 1928 to Charles and Iva Grof in Lansing, Michigan. He was the youngest of four boys. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1998.
Bill was a retired Staff Sargent from the Air Force. He worked on the Enola Gay; which is the plane that bombed Hiroshima.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Dr. Michael (wife Karen) and Mark Grof both of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two step-daughters, Barbara Kime (husband Jeff) and Elisa Shockey both of Dallas, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A committal service with military honors will take place on October 4, 2013 at 12:30 pm at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
