Gene went to heaven peacefully at home on April 15, 2021 after a 6 year battle with Parkinson’s and dementia, he was 81.
Gene was a successful businessman with a witty sense of humor. He loved riding motorcycles, target shooting, building street rods, working in his garage and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, proud grandfather and great friend.
He is survived by his wife ,Linda, 3 children, 3 step-children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister and one granddaughter.
The family wishes to thank the Hospice team that cared for him in his last days. In lieu of a funeral service, the family will be holding a private Celebration of Life service.

I always admired Gene and Linda. I thought they were the perfect couple. I used to call them Maw and Paw because they always worked together outside. My
love to both of you
I loved him. He was a very good man. Very kind to people he cared about. I am sorry I did not get to see him for a long time. All my sympathies to his wife and family. The world is a smaller place without him.
Gene, thanks you so much for the conversations we had. Us men had to stick together. Many thumbs up to a friend.
A bright light has left our lives and now resides in the heavens above. Loved his dry sense of humor and his hugs. He will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to you Linda, and all the family.
Gene Sondag saved my life in the 80’s. He was the kindest, sweetest person I have ever known. I have not talked to him for many many years. I let him go so he could find his true soul mate in Linda. All he ever wanted was to be happy and have a family. God bless you Gene. I know the angels came and got you because you definitely believed in God. My condolences to your family and children. May you ride on that cloud
