Haferman, Jr., Toby
Obituary
Toby Haferman Jr, of Plano Texas, passed unexpectedly on the 11th of May, 2021. Born in Baraboo WI on February the 10th, 1991 with medical issues, he spent his first 12 days in the IICU. After coming home, Toby proved to be a fighter and demanded his share of attention. He did not see himself as disabled and wanted to do everything his sisters did, and his parents complied as often as possible. He enjoyed waterparks, amusement parks, and playing outside with friends. At the age of 11, the family moved to Texas and he was introduced to a voice through a communication system that broadened his world. During his life he traveled frequently with family to various states including Florida, South Dakota, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, New York, and New Orleans, Louisiana. He met several famous people including Brett Farve, several Steelers players, Stan Lee and most recently Micah Fowler of the show speechless. He was recognized and awarded a Star Award from the Dallas Mayor’s committee on disabilities. He graduated from Plano East Senior High School in 2009 and went on to attend the school My Possibilities, where he met his love and fiance Shara. In his short 30 years, he lived life to the fullest. Toby joins his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather and is survived by his Parents Toby and Kristy Haferman; his sisters Paige (Matthew) Voorhees and Jessica (Craig) Reichert; His maternal grandmother Gerri Roth; Aunts Tina Santiago, Merri Lin (Mike) Foht, and Carissa Kammer; Uncle Mike (Margaret) Haferman; multiple cousins including Trinity Santiago; and niece and nephew Gwin and Rowen. He also leaves behind his love and fiance Shara Harrington and countless other friends and relatives. Isaiah 40:31 But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
