Obituary
Mary Jo (Ryden) Baumli passed away on May 16, 2021 in McKinney TX, finally stopping her chronic back pain. She was 88 years old. Mary Jo was born in New Castle, Colorado on September 3, 1932 to Bill and Daila Ryden. She had a younger Brother, Bill, who lived in Grand Junction Colorado, now deceased. She is survived by her husband George after 66 years of marriage, three sons, five Grandchildren, two step Grandchildren, four step Great Grandchildren and one Great Grandson. The sons, Greg lives in Prosper, TX, Mark in San Francisco and Chris in Austin, TX. She graduated from New Castle High School, the tallest girl in the class. She attended Colorado Western College in Gunnison, Colorado. Following that she had a Secretarial position with a Title Company in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In 1953 she met George, who just returned from two years in the Army. They were married December 26, 1954. George was going to the University of Colorado to get a degree in Civil Engineering. Mary Jo worked as a Secretary to the Director of the Fine Arts Department. In December 1956 Greg was born. After graduation, they moved to Sacramento, CA, where Mark and Chris were born. Later moving to Red Bluff and Rancho Palos Verdes, where she was active in the Children’s Home Society and PEO. After George retired, they moved to McKinney, TX, where she was active in the Heard Museum Guild, PEO and Voyagers. In 1999, she was selected as McKinney’s Gourmet Cook of The Month. She was cremated and the urn placed at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery next to the space reserved for George. Memorial Service Details: Wed., May 26, 2021 at 1:00pm located at Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75252.
