Aldrich, Judith Anne

Judith Anne Aldrich was born September 10,1934 in Brimfield, Illinois and went to Heaven on June 8,2021. Judy, as her friends and family called her, truly lived her life serving others. Judy had a servant heart and would do anything to help others and she did this with a smile and a happy spirit. Judy recalled her happiest childhood memories of being with her Grandmother on the farm and helping take care of the chickens and other animals. Judy had a great love for animals and especially the pet dachshunds and other animals that were in the household. Judy’s father played saxophone in a band, and as a child she developed a love for Big Band music and for singing. Even in her later years, as her memory was fading, she was able to recall and sing many of the big band songs of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, the Andrew Sisters and others. Because of some learning disabilities, Judy’s mother placed her in a home for girls where the teenage girls learned how to cook, clean, and care for children. Judy came to live with our family in 1956. As our mother was quite ill with Rheumatic Fever, Judy became a caretaker/nanny for the Weise children: Beth, Anne, and Billy. What was supposed to be a short term assignment to care for the children while my mother was ill turned into a lifelong loving relationship with our family. Even after the children had grown up Judy was a friend and caretaker for my mother, Rita Weise and mother in law, Hila Pepmiller. When Judy developed health problems including a broken hip and Alzheimer’s disease she was well taken care of at the Belmont Nursing Home in Allen, Tx. It has been a blessing for me and my wife Rhonda to be able to see Judy almost on a daily basis and return some care for her that she so graciously gave to others for so many years. During our many visits with Judy the past ten years she would always remark to my wife or daughter, “You look so beautiful today.” I was always amazed that Judy saw the beauty of each tree, every flower and even the blue sky. Perhaps because of her inner beauty, Judy recognized beauty in nature and in others. I am filled with great sadness in her passing, but also great joy in knowing that Judy was welcomed into Heaven with open arms, by Jesus, her Grandmother, My Mother and Father, Bill and Rita Weise and my Mother in law, Hila Pepmiller. I believe she will be wearing a very large crown as she deserves it.

With much love to our dear friend,
William J and Rhonda Weise and Family

like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand
