Obituary
William Robert Dorsett passed away peacefully at home July 10th 2021.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Trinity University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. From there he had a 35 year career with Delta Airlines. After his retirement he worked with Allen Travel Services.
He is preceded in death by his father Rev. Alfred M. Dorsett, his mother Eleanor P. Dorsett and wife of 48 years Jenny Lee Tunnell Dorsett. He is survived by his sister Rosemary Moore and her husband William Moore; son Robert M. Dorsett and husband R. Scott Knapp; daughters Celeste D. Gould and Laura R. Dorsett and her husband Mark G. Etheridge; grandchildren Elizabeth Noyola and husband Johnny Noyola, Jennifer Gould and husband Adam Fraser and Cameron Garza and wife Megean Garza along with 5 great grandchildren Stormer Fraser, Chevelle Fraser, Amber Lawler, Taylor Lawler, Malakai Link and Gabriel Garza.
Bill was a loyal servant of God and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He found his passion in music singing in the choir of First Presbyterian Church of Plano and in Men of Note. His talents were also recognized in Theater where he was a founding player in the Plano Community Theater and often played a leading role.
Bill was an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Plano where he served on several committees and participated in many of the church’s missions during his 49 years as a member.
A memorial service will be held August 12, 2021 at 10:00am at First Presbyterian Church, Plano.
