Obituary
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 Vanette Ball was born on June 11, 1930 in Carrier, Oklahoma to Viola and Virgil Marshall. She passed away on September 29, 2021, in Plano, Texas at 91 years of age. Vanette grew up in Carrier, Oklahoma where she was raised with her sister Virgilene and brother Bud. She graduated from Carrier High School and studied at Oklahoma State University. Her career included working as a Bookkeeper at the University of Texas Ex-Students Association in Austin, Texas, a Principal’s Assistant at Plano Senior High school, and a Computer Data Entry Operator for an insurance agency in Lewisville, Texas. Vanette married James Ball on June 16th, 1951. They lived most of their married life in Plano, Texas and upon retirement moved to the beautiful piney woods of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas where they enjoyed a relaxed yet active lifestyle. Vanette was a loving mother to her son and daughter and thouroughly enjoyed being with friends and family, playing golf, reading and watching sports on television, especially Big 12 college sports and professional football. She greatly enjoyed her four grandchildren. Vanette is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Marshall, her mother, Viola Marshall, her brother, Bud Marshall, and her husband, James Ball. She is survived by her sister Virgilene Bellinger and husband Duane; son Tad Ball and wife Gina; their daughter Stephanie and her husband Jay; their son Ryan; daughter Cindy Kelly and husband John and their sons Stephen and Bryan. A private memorial service is planned for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
