Flechtner, Judith "Judy" L.

November 16, 1939 - August 21, 2013

Judy Ann Lacey Flechtner passed away at home on August 21, 2013.

She is survived by her husband R.J. (Bob) Flechtner, Jr.; son, Todd and daughter, Paige Hutchens; five grandghildren: Taylor, and Bren Flechtner, Megan Whitefield, Jacob and Katy Hutchens; one sister, Joan Hansen, numerous in-laws, nephews and nieces and legions of friends and neighbors both in Dallas and the Northport area of Maine where she and Bob vacationed for many years.

Judy truly loved her dogs.  She also relished spending time with family, neighbors, tennis friends, book club group and shopping estate sales.  Her skills in the kitchen, especially her ability as a baker were widely enjoyed.

Judy’s zest for life, empathy for her fellow man, and her smiles and laughter which were infectious will be missed by many here and eagerly welcomed by those who have passed on before her.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish memorial gifts may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road, Dallas, Texas 75252,

Mike Mongognia says:

The last door closed on earth, the flames reduced her body to ash.

Far above, beyond the vision of my eyes, a door opened to welcome in her spirit.

“Surrounded by God’s Glory, what did her heart feel?

Did she dance there with Jesus or in awe of him be still?

Did she stand in his presence, or to her knees did she fall?

Did she sing song’s of praises, was she able to speak at all?

I can only imagine”……………………………..

She went home, closing the doors left on this earth and opening the doors to eternal life.

How Happy she must be! So today I rejoice in remembering her.

I rejoice in knowing GOD, and his promise of eternal life.

It’s that promise that allows me not to be sad when that last door closes,

because beyond the vision of my eyes, another door will open to welcome me.
