Memorial services for Diane “Deedee” Cooke McCarty, age 77, of Ector, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, Texas. Diane was born on December 12, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas the daughter of Aaron and Derohn Cooke. She was a graduate of Rains High School in 1963. She grew up in Emory, Texas and met the love of her life, Hubert McCarty and they married on February 4, 1986. They owned and operated Jumping Jack Express and operated numerous trucking and sandblast businesses in Ector, Texas. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, canning, long road trips and her Walmart trips. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a grandson, Dakota Barker. She is survived by her brother Tommy Cooke and wife Carla of Emory, Texas, daughters, Staci Holley of Emory, Texas, Tonja McCoy and husband John of McKinney, Texas, Karen Briggs of Ector, sons, Chris Fletcher of Emory, Texas, Donald Cotton; grandchildren, Mackenzi and Justin Christian, Krista McCoy, Makala McCoy, and Josey Fletcher, Brittany and Jeremy Barnes, Summer and Dakota Wright, TW Petty, Lacee and Jarret Bates, Cody and Heather Cotton, DJ and Crystal Cotton and Mercedezand Christian Arrington, great grandchildren, Skylar Conner, Lincoln Christian, Dakota Christian, Braedyn Barnes, Chelsi Petty, Coby Barnes, Adin Barnes, Isabella Wright, Natalia Wright, Sophia Wright, Braxton Petty, Thatcher Petty, Azah Petty, Ryder Petty, Braxten Kelley, Luke Kelley, Merrick Aarington, Pryor Cotton, and Landon Hellyer, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
