Rest in Peace Dear Hermann. We are so glad we knew you.
Good bye Passionate, exuberant, authentic old friend. Colossians 3:12 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
We send all our love and prayers to you Linda! Hermann will be dearly missed by so many. What a delight that we had the chance to know him. You will be in our hearts.
Dear Linda
I know that what you are going through right now is very difficult. I am truly sorry for your loss.
Barbara
After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we’ve shared with our loved ones who have passed. This is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds. And they will continue to live on, through us.
My beloved Brother, I’m gonna miss you very much

I listened to your Friday night program almost every week. Your program and Hermann Bockelmann will be missed. Joe C.
All of us at the the DRC will truly miss Hermann. His presence in the boathouse was palpable, moreso than any other member. He was boisterous, outgoing, witty, easy-going, always willing to help and a true friend. For those of us who knew him, his laugh will resound in the rafters of the boathouse forever.Rest in peace my friend.
It is hard for me to believe that such an energetic, creative, big-hearted and alive person is no longer walking this earth. Without Hermann I would not be who I am today. I am so thankful that he was part of my life. He will always be in my heart. Good-bye, dear Hermann. Love to Ingrid, Linda, and Jochen.
HERMAN AND I ENJOYED SWAPPING PIGEON GERMAN. HE KNEW IT ALL AND I ONLY HAD A YEAR IN HIGHSCHOOL. HE LOVED TO TEASE ME ABOUT HOW I AMERICANIZED THE GERMAN WORDS. A GREAT GUY AND I SURELY MISS HIM, AS I AM SURE THAT YOU DO AS WELL.
I TRY MY BEST TO IMITATE HIM WHEN MUSEUM VISITORS FIRST ENTER THE MUSEUM BUT NO ONE CAN REPLACE IS JOVIAL BANTER AND PERSONALITY.
My darling Hermann, you left a week ago but the loss and pain is coupled with love and joy that you are free and safe from all you suffered. It is just not fair that such an amazing mind, body and soul had to end this way. At the end, you heard me and kissed me, a precious moment for us. You were the best of times and then the worst. See you in heaven, knock twice my love. Linda
You will be missed by all that ever knew you. tD96B6
Linda: We will miss Hermann so very much. We will miss New Years Eve, our weekend trips with Champagne toasts but most of all we are going to miss Hermann and all of his witty sayings. We love you.
Oh my German friend, what wonderful memories I have of all our travels, trials and tribulations. You were always there for me with that famous smile and encoragement.I’ll miss you dearly my friend. But I know one thing for sure that you are driving that trailer up in heaven.
