Obituary
Mona Lyn Lee passed away peacefully on Sunday November 10, 2013 in Irving, TX. She fought a courageous battle with sarcoma cancer.
Mona was born in Ames, Iowa on July 8, 1962. After graduating with a B.S. from Iowa State University and an MBA from Drake University, Mona held professional financial positions with her career ending at the FDIC in Dallas, TX.
Left to cherish Mona’s memory are her parents, Susan (Yankovich) Eriksen, William R. Lee (Patty), and Dennis Chamberlin (Linda); brothers, Mark Lee (Misty)and Dr. William J. Lee; uncles, Dr. Jon Yankey (Barb), Pete Yankovich, and Jerry Chamberlin (Anne); aunts, Mahria Thompson, Rita Pishvaian (Alberto), Liz Austin (Mike), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mona was preceded in death by her Grandparents Mike and Elinor Yankey, Wayne and Edith Chamberlin and one uncle, Mike Yankovich.
Mona’s cats, Mellow and Spot were a great joy in her life. Therefore, please provide memorials to Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary (RVAS) at (515) 577-1745.
A private memorial service will be held at Prairie Ridge Church in Ankeny, IA on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 4:30 pm central time. A previous Memorial Service was held in Irving, TX on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 with FDIC staff in attendance.

I am extremely saddened and grieved to learn of Mona’s passing. I have only known here for three to four years but during that time I have her grown to respect her as a co-worker and enjoy her company on a personal level. I will certainly miss her. She and her family will be in my prayers.
I breaks my heart to hear of the news of Mona passing away this weekend. I had the pleasure of working with her multiple times over the years – you will be missed. May you rest in peace.
On behalf of the entire Professional Liability Section here in Dallas, we offer our sincere sympathy to the family of Mona Lee. She was an outstanding asset to the Investigations’ Department here and will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to her entire family.
Mona was always such a hard worker and and so professional, and you really could tell how much she enjoyed her job. Her passing is quite sad for us in DRR Investigations she will be greatly missed, but at least her suffering is over and she can now enjoy everlasting peace with God.
I too was saddened to learn of Mona’s passing. While I did not work directly with her, I knew her professionally through her early contracting work for FDIC, and was pleased that she eventually found work within the agency. My condolences to her family and friends.

I’ve known Mona for 8 years. she has a great sense of humor and always delivered first class results in anything that she did. We will miss her very much.
I had the opportunity to meet Mona recently working at an event. I was impressed with her focus on the job even though I knew she was not feeling well. I would of liked to get to know her better. I am saddened by her passing. . My condolences to her family and friends.
Mona was a tireless worker helping many in the FENG with her endless patience and true kindness, especially in the FPA Group with resume tips, leads and advice. Thoughts and prayers for her family.
