We had a bumpy ride,Mama…we didn’t have much money, but we had a lot of fun…thanks, mom for all the valuable lessons, for the unconditional love, and a million other little things…I love you more than words can say, I love you to the moon and back, and I love you BIG. Eternal peace is finally yours, mama…..i miss you more each day…
To Kelly, Johnny and Michael…my deepest sympathy and lots of love. I talked to your mom when memaw passed..it was just like we hadn’t missed a beat. She was always quickwitted and could make you laugh about just about anything. I’ll always have good memories of her…she will always be in our hearts. God bless you all and comfort you…with so much love, aunt Nita
Kelly, Johnny and Michael — it’s hard to put into words what a relationship of 57 years with your mom entails. The three of you were more important to her than she could ever show. I know things were tough in places, but she did the best she could. As you know, children don’t come with instruction manuals, and she didn’t have much to build on. I’m glad she’s at peace now. My love to all three of you.

Diane was my best friend for 38 years through thick and thin ,tears, laughter,we did it all, leaned on each other, for good and bad times.I will miss her so much ,and will cherish her friendship forever, and all the memories we made together, she is with god now and he will watch over her .she will never be forgotten. She has three wonderful kids and Her memory will live on through them, rest in peace diane.
I barely knew Mother Smith as a mother-in-law and I got mixed messages about her attitudes toward life but I think I managed to befriend Diane in the last few years. She might have actually taught me a few things about myself that I never knew were there and she was instantly forgiven any trespass. I barely got to know her and she was the only mother-in-law I ever had. Bye bye Mother Smith, I never got you call you that…
Mom, Diane, the number two Diane in my life. I know we only spent a short time together but you were a great 2nd mom and I miss you. John and Michael I am so sorry for your loss. Kelly it looks like we are even more alike now. I love you Mom.
