Obituary
Kenneth Lonnie Walton, 76, of Farmers Branch, Texas, passed away on December 23, 2013. He was born on October 16, 1937 to Lonnie Walton and Pearl Seal Walton in a farmhouse in Bryan County, Oklahoma. He graduated from Denison High School in 1956. He was a loving father and grandfather, a devoted friend to many and an avid snow skier. He served as a firefighter for 41 years and retired in 2000 as a captain with the Dallas Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Walton; mother and stepfather, Pearl and John Cowherd; brother, Jackie Ray Walton; two daughters, Sandra Jo Walton and Debra Sue Specht; and wife, Ruby Allen Walton. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Bill Watson; sister-in-law, Sonja Walton; step-sister, Betty Lou Teachout; daughter and son-in-law JoAnn and Pat Donohue; daughter, Leah Walton Teachout; son-in-law, Bruce Specht; grandchildren, Brandon Womack, Chelsea Simmons, Jason Simmons, Devan and Steve Sewell, Zakary and Marissa Teachout, Beverly Teachout, Emily Teachout, Valerie Teachout, Katie Specht, and Kayla Specht; great-grandson, Jaidyn Teachout; and dear friend and companion of 10 years, Autumn Swan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Aria Cremation Service & Funeral Home, 19310 Preston Rd., Dallas, TX 75252. I was saddened to hear of Kenneth”s passing. My brothers, Jim, Cliff, Charlie, and I send our condolences and prayers to Kenneth’s family. I plan to be at the service if I can.
My daughters and I are saddened by the passing of Ken. He was a part of our lives from the time my daughters were very small children. He was loved and respected by all.He will remain in our hearts forever. God Bless & comfort his family … RIP

I’m very saddened to hear of Kenneth’s passing. We were very close for 5 or 6 years in the mid ’80s and he was very supportive when my father died. He was a man of incredible integrity and my live is richer for having known him.
