Sheila, I am praying for you and Alissa. I have a great book I will send you. I know you will like it. Please call me when you feel like talking. This time is most difficult.
Love you,
Wendy
My heart is breaking for you Shelia and Alissa, you are in my prayers!
My sympathy and prayers go out to Carl’s family on his sudden passing. I only knew Carl for a short period of time but he was one of the friendliest and cheerful people to be around – no matter what else was going on. He never met a stranger and always made others around him feel welcome and appreciated. He will be missed by all that knew him. May God bring peace and comfort to you in this time of loss.
To a real great man and good buddy, you will be missed. You were and are a truly great man.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked with Carl at Fluor. He was one of the nicest and most considerate people I have ever met. I will miss Carl.
Sally and I want to send our deepest sympathy to Sheila, Alissa and the rest of Carl’s family. Carl has been part of my life since the day he started working for my father. Over the years Carl took time to mentor me and support me in any way he could. We had a chance to work together at Fluor which I greatly cherished. After I left Fluor I was honored to learn we would work together again on the Electric Power Conference. Carl was always upbeat and positive and never had a negative word about anyone. Carl will be greatly missed by me and my entire family.

I will continue to pray for you, Sheila and Alissa. This is shocking and beyond sad. I know he feels your love and devotion still….
We were so sorry to hear Carl left us.
Remember we are here for you. We will miss Carl. Love, Jeff and Angie
Carl loved to tell stories and share his experiences. I remember asking him a question about one of the many acronyms the industry uses for power plants so I could sound half way intelligent when I spoke on the matter. He came into my office, sat down and proceeded to tell me about all the parts of a boiler and how they worked. He also drew a diagram to help me visualize it. It was so very obvious in that moment how much he enjoyed passing on what he knew. He was a good friend and a great person. I miss him.
I worked with Carl at Fluor. He was truly a ‘great’ guy and we will all miss him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sheila, Alissa and all of Carl’s family. We have known Carl for many years in the business. He was a true professional and always positive. I enjoyed working with Carl. He was always willing to take assignments and had a can do attitude. As a person he was always enjoyable to be around with an outgoing personality and respect for others. He will be missed professionally and personally.

Carl was blessed with the ability to immediately make you comfortable in his presence. He could not hide the fact that he was genuine and sweet-spirited with a touch of mischievous in his eye. Praying for your strength and fortitude to carry on and do him proud, which we know you will, my beautiful precious Cousin. I will see and speak to you soon and send condolences to Alissa.

Sheila,
Carl was my football buddy! We were always up on the games. Most Mondays, we shared our thoughts. Last Thursday, something told me to go say hey to Carl since I had not visited with him all week. I am glad I did. He was a gift. He will be greatly missed here at the office.
Sheila, I am so glad that I got to meet Carl on Christmas Eve. He made me laugh and smile and was a big part of a wonderful evening. I know that he was a great comfort to Susie when she lost Mark, and I am grateful for that. I will treasure his memory and keep you in my thoughts.
So very sad to hear. Such sad news. You guys are in our prayers.

We will truly miss a great man,lake-neighbor and business associate with an ever present smile and interest in the wellbeing of others. Carl was quick to spot the positive and masterful in guiding others to see value and opportunity, both in business and in daily challenges. He will always be a shining example for those of us with the fortune of calling him our friend.
Sheila words can’t express how sad I am to hear about Carl. He was always such a kind and sweet man. I will be praying for you and Alissa during this hard time. You will be with him again one day but until then remember the good times y’all had together. You have so many friends that are here for you. We all love you!!
Where do I start, My heart goes out to everyone that Carl touched with his presence. I have so many wonderful memories I could write a book. What a blessing I had to be part of his life especially when I lived in Dallas. Carl was always kind and tried to assure everyone was happy. He was a constant even when everything around him was chaos. I always knew that no matter what, he would be the voice of reason. Carl will be missed but thought of often. –Shelia and Alissa – I hope that you both find comfort in each other as that is what I believe Carl would have wanted. – Please know that you have family – Including myself that is here and has always been here for you. Here is the cool thing about family – you can’t get rid of them – we are here to stay. – Know I love you both with all my heart. – I think of you often and will continue to do so. –

I am saddened by the news of Carl’s passing. We were good friends back in the 70’s when we both worked at C-E in CT, and did many things together and with other friends. My sympathy is extended to his family. Godbless.
Carl was more like a brother, than a cousin. Enough said!
Sheila, we were so sorry to hear about Carl. We have such fun memories of Carl from the dinner club years ago! You and Alissa are in our thoughts and prayers, now and as you go forward.

Shelia and Alissa, I was devastated to hear about Carl. Since as far back as I can truly remember, your family has been part of my life, and that life was made richer by having Carl in it. I am so, so sad that he is gone.
I truly enjoyed my times with Carl. Always positive, always enlightening. My condolences to Shelia and his family. Know that he is in a better place waiting on you all to meet up in the future.

Ah Carl … you left us too soon, too soon. We worked together often at C-E and I always will remember you as one of the good guys – always there with a ready smile and laugh. God bless.
Shelia, Pat and I were so sorry to hear of Carl’s passing. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and Alissa.
Dear Shelia, I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Carl’s passing. I knew Carl for almost forty years. From those early days when he was in Dalls sales for CE, throuh the years when I had the pleasure of being his boss to later when we ran across each other Carl defined the word Gentleman. He was always thoughtful and supportive of everyone he came in contact with. His business relationships were sincere and caring but never as important as his love of you and your daughter. Carl was a loving and caring gentleman and the world will miss him but we were all better off for having had the opportunity to know him.
Sheila and Alissa and family our please accept our sincerest condolences on your lost. Carl was always a friend to us, he will be missed.
Ed & Gloria Rogozinski

Sheila, there are just no words. I’m so sorry and have been thinking about you every day since I heard about Carl. I wish that I had the opportunity to meet him. Hope to see you when you get back to yoga and give you a hug.
Love,
Betty
I knew Carl when he was in the Dallas office for CE and I worked in Windsor in the Aftermarket business.I remember bringing some of my customers to view a plant in the Dallas area, and what a wonderful host Carl was. My sincere condolences to his family.
I so truly loved getting to spend time with Carl in whatever capacity. After Mark passed he was so generous in the time he was able and willing to spend with me. The countless trips to the lake where we got to grill, ride jet-skis, boats, and maybe the most unique and memorable event of mowing the lawn were so wonderful and necessary at a time in my life where I needed it most. I will always remember him and those most cherished of times.
My condolences to the family. I worked with Carl in the good old days and remember Carl and his shinning smile and always pleasent personality. Gole bles Carl and family.
Sheila, We all send our kindest, heartfelt sympathy. I cannot tell you anything about Carl you don’t know 100x better. May you find some peace in knowing that Carl did touch our lives and we are better for that.
We were so sad to hear of Carl’s sudden passing this last week. I have many good memories from my younger days of Carl & Shelia always making time to spend with me when in Dallas.
I often came to Dallas with my Dad’s family or for a summer vacation at my Grandparents house. Carl ALWAYS made time to come pick me up and take me to their house to spend time together. I remember going for a run or two with him, having a great time racing toy cars on a track set up on their dining room table, and of course swimming in their “B” shaped pool.
I’ve quoted Carl often on his philosophy of cars in the years since he told me, “The way I see it, the car replaced the horse” His point was that it’s just to get places and he didn’t care much about it as a “baby” so to speak.
Shelia & Carl would ask every time I visited if I had a girlfriend yet. When I did meet my future wife, their family made sure to come to KC for our wedding, which we were grateful for.
Later, after Andrea & I were married with kids, Carl made time to come visit us while on one of his business trips to Kansas City and we were also able to have a good time with him and our two young daughters at his Lake house in Texas.
What stands out to me most about Carl was how he made it a priority to spend time together every opportunity we had.
We miss him.
Brian, Andrea & kids
Shelia dear,
I was shocked and so deeply saddened when I heard from Susie about Carl’s sudden passing. I will always think of Carl with his ready smile and a warm embrace. I remember so clearly how wonderful both you and Carl were when Mark was so sick. Your steady and loving friendship will never be forgotten and I hope you feel the same support that you so readily gave. May the love of your family and friends sustain you, now and in the coming months.
Warmly,
Alison
Sheila and family, please accept our sincerest condolences on your loss. We are still numb from the experience that Friday night. Carl was always a good friend to us. I still look for him when I am out walking Rocky and expect him to be coming around the corner with a big smile on his face. He was full of life and always happy. He will be missed.
This was not the start to the year I had hoped for, for sure. A good man leaves us way too soon. I knew Carl from our days with CE and our interactions since then were always pleasant and helpful to each other. I will miss his wit and smile and the help he was always ready to provide.
Shelia, I just discovered this sad news. My heart goes out to you and Alyssa and all of your family members and friends who cherished him so deeply. I read all these wonderful words of tribute to him as a gentle and kind soul and I echo every sentiment. I so want to rush to your side, comfort you and entertain you and help you get through this challenging time in your life. If there is anything you can think of that I can do to help, don’t hesitate one second to call me, my dear sweet friend.
Huge hugs for you and Alyssa!
Love,
Linda

Lisa Miller

Carl was a wonderful man and friend. He had a such a nice sense of humor, enjoyed life and added much to the power industry which was how I knew him. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sheila and Alissa.
