October 12, 1947 - January 17, 2014
RONALD OWEN NORTON, of Dallas, Texas, born October 12, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, beloved husband, father and grandpa, passed away January 17, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marsha Norton, sons Jonathan Norton, of Dallas, Matthew and Lynn Shappee of Valrico, Florida, and Brent Shappee, of Addison, Texas, Daughter-in-law, Sarah Norton, Grandsons Carter and Jack Norton, Father- and Mother-in-law, David and Sally Bell, of Dallas, Brother- and Sister-in-law, Dan and Linda Busdiecker of Irving, Nieces Sara Busdiecker of Richardson, and Debra and Aaron Todd, of Pasadena, California. Ron served in the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX, at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

I'm so sorry to learn of your loss. I am assuming that it was cancer that took Ron, and I hope you had time to adjust to what was to come. Regardless, I know that it is still the most difficult thing to endure. I'm sure your boys will stand strong by you and be there for you as needed. I will pray for God to give you the strength to endure, recover, and move forward. Love,
