I was saddened to hear of Greg’s passing. It’s been many years since I lived in Dallas, but I always considered him a great friend. His personality was bigger than life. His smile and laugh was contagious.

Greg and I met back in 1989 as I worked for Automatic Sprinkler Corp of America. Greg use to stop by after work to say hi to some of his old co-workers and I was a recent transplant from the “mother ship” in Cleveland. He had an infectious personality and was very welcoming of new friends. He had an energy that knew no limits, would come by late on week nights to head out to check out the Dallas Night Life. Greg became part of my social circle of friends while I was in Dallas and we had many great times heading out in a group to do what Twenty year olds out of college do. I worked for Greg for a year out of the trailer at DFW Airport as I completed my Masters at University of Dallas. I moved onto a Company in Wisconsin and then Chicago. We stayed in contact over the years and when i was back in town I always tried to spend time with Greg. 2 to 3 times a year at least my phone would ring and it would be Greg checking in.Greg and I last spoke Friday as he reached out to me for a work issue. Greg – Kathy ( my wife and your friend too) and I will miss you and remember you, you were loved like a brother, may you find rest and peace. My thoughts go out to your mother and fiancee.I will remember you as a someone I gladly called my friend.

It pains me and all the loss of Greg so young. This past January marked 15 yrs. I was employed @ his company. In those many years ,adventure was ever in abundance. I will remember him always as an innovater, mentor, risk taker and achiever. My condolences to Mom Ethel and all of us who has been able to grow our families who have indeed lost not just a boss but a friend. Fair well. Thank you!

I am saddened to hear about Greg. Although I have not spoken since 2013, I was anxious to call him to see if he was interested in working together again at DFW airport. I first met Greg in 2005 when was our FP partner on Terminal D facilities contract until 2011. He was an honest and reliable businessman and, like his close friends intimated, always smiling and optimistic. Whenever I was in town we usually met for lunch or dinner. He was always entertaining and enjoyable to converse with.
I’m sure he is still sorely missed. May his soul rest in the hands of the Lord.

I’m just now learning that Greg is gone; obviously we hadn’t been in touch for many years. We lived together for a few years in the late ’80s, and were even engaged at one point. His light burned so intensely, I always felt it would be extinguished too soon. Many of my happiest memories are from the times we spent with our roommate Mike Murphy, and very close friends Jerry and Justin Meek. I’ll now treasure even more the many, many photos we took together. My heart is broken for all of us he left behind.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
