Obituary
Vera L Priebe, 91, was born in South Haven, KS, in 1922 to Harlan and Nellie Gile, the tenth of fourteen children. She passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie A Priebe. Vera is remembered by her family for her indomitable spirit and her ability to make everyone she touched feel loved. Vera was a resident of NW Oklahoma City for more than forty years. A Celebration of her life was held on 4/21/14 in the Chapel at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Tx. She will be buried in Oklahoma City on May 10, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway, OKC, OK. She is survived by a son, Leslie A Priebe and his wife, Virginia of Plano, TX; a daughter, Janice L Helsper of Safety Harbor, FL; three granddaughters: Kara Brown, Kelli Armstrong, and Morgan Massie; and five great grandchildren: Tristan, Megan, Hunter, Avery, and Jasper, all cherished by her. She is also survived by one sister, Nelda Greiving of Derby, KS. In Lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I do remember her and Les coming to mother and daddy’s long time ago, she would always scratch my back for ever and talk sooo sweet to me. I was probably 5,6,7 I am 57 now. Always loved seeing her, she was so sweet to my folks,too. MW
