Brigman, Christopher R.
Obituary
Christopher Ryan Brigman passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 due to injuries he received. Because Chris was an organ donor, we had an additional two days to hold his hand and sit with him as organ recipients were located. On April 20, 2014 Chris was able to complete one final loving act by giving the gift of life to others. Chris was born February 24, 1991 in Austin, Texas to Jeff Carlton Brigman and Donna Bridge. He spent most of his young life in Grandview, Texas and moved to Plano, Texas after his sophomore year of high school. Chris graduated from Plano Senior High, and took courses at both The University of Texas at Dallas and Collin County College. Chris was packed and one day away from moving to San Antonio to join his family. Chris planned on going back to school and was even looking for a school with a football program; not just a great party crowd. Chris loved being the funny guy and was friends with everyone he met; the hardest part of his plan to move was the numerous friends he was leaving behind, they were his surrogate family. Chris is survived by his parents: Donna Bridge of San Antonio, TX; Delia and Jeff Brigman of San Antonio, TX: Siblings: Stephen Bridge and Zoe Brigman; Grandparents: Nancy and Wayne Follett of Grandview, TX and Mary Nell and Richard Brigman of Waxahachie; along with several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Chris was an active participant in life, never content to just view it from the sidelines. A memorial service for Chris will be held on Friday, April 25th at Aria Memorial Chapel TX 75252 beginning at 7:00 pm. Dress comfortably and be ready to hear and tell a few uncensored, beautiful, funny, sad, silly, irreverent and heroic stories about the life and times of Superman Chris Brigman. Please join us in celebrating the life of an extraordinary young man. The family asks if you choose to speak to the media regarding Chris, you speak only of Chris and not the circumstance of the case. Our son, Christopher Ryan Brigman, was called home to Heaven on Good Friday. He was an organ donor. On Sunday, because of his courageous choice , several people were given the gift of life. With this in mind, we respectfully request that in lieu of flowers you visit organ.org to make a tax deductible donation and register to be an organ and tissue donor while you are there. Thank You– The Christopher Brigman Family. Overflow parking will be in the Lowe’s Parking lot located directly behind the funeral home on the southeast corner of George Bush Turnpike and Preston Road. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

Chris was one of my best friends. I can’t tell you how many deep intellectual conversations we had. He was a true genius. He helped me through many struggles while also calling on me for advice or simply just to vent. I love him with all my heart and will never forget his smart ass infectious smile.
