Obituary
On the morning of May 7, 2014, DeLeigh passed away at her home in Plano, Texas, surrounded by her family, many close friends and her special care giver, Itza Largespada. DeLeigh was 26 years old and died due to complications associated with Sanfilippo Syndrome.
DeLeigh was born in Carbondale, Illinois on March 3, 1988. She was the second child of David and Darla Corzine.
DeLeigh was a graduate of Plano East Senior High School and developed many friendships throughout her short life, both at her school and church. She enjoyed school spirit days and loved being a PESH Panther Fan. She was full of life, loved to sing and a fashion diva. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and would cheer for her favorite players, Troy Aikman and Emmit Smith. She loved skittles, sweet tarts, double cheeseburgers and lip balm. She loved to travel and accompanied her family on many trips to Disney Theme Parks, various beach destinations, Colorado during the skiing season and her favorite destination was Hawaii.
DeLeigh is preceded in death by her grandfathers, one grandmother, uncle and cousin.
DeLeigh is survived by her parents, David and Darla Corzine and one brother Dustin all from Plano, Texas, her grandmother, Velma Tucker of Jonesboro, Illinois, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration Service honoring and remembering DeLeigh will be held on May 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm at The Life Church in Dallas, Texas 75287 with a reception to follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in DeLeigh’s memory to Life Central Church in Plano, Texas, The Life Church in Dallas, Texas and the Plano East Senior High School Special Education Department.
