"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

My condolences to the entire Defoe family our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. The pictures of Glen are the greatest! He always had that impish grin and was ready to have a good time and good times we always seem to have when he was around. I’ll always remember the night before Rughead was married and Glen chose to go out on the town in Lubbock with all the boys. Of course some of us had a really good time and almost ruined the wedding when some 6′ 8″ deranged marine kicked in numerous hotel locked doors and sprayed everyone and everything in those rooms with the light green spray from numerous fire extinguishers that he had broken into. Needless to say all the tuxedos for the wedding the next day were coated with this green film and had to be dry cleaned in a hurry for the wedding. Amazing everything came together and Rughead was married to the beautiful Beth Anne Brandt. There was a period that morning when a certain 6’8″ deranged marine was feeling pretty low to what he had done and many we’re wondering if the wedding could still go on. That was all ended when Glen walked up to me and whispered in my ear, ” don’t worry about a thing , I haven’t had that much fun in 35 years.” What can I say but, Glendale ………..you may not be here on earth with us anymore but you will always live on in everyone of us who was lucky enough to know you and be around you.
