Rider, Mildred "Tee"
Obituary
Mildred “Tee” Rider
Tee was born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma in 1929. She was raised by her Grandfather and Grandmother, Heil Lee & Leila Olivo and her Mother, Elizabeth Mae Turner. She had five siblings, Marie, Elizabeth, J.R., Bobby, and Howard Dean Turner.
Tee had an exciting career and family life. She married Eugene Darrel Rider in 1955 after dating for two years. They then moved to Hobbs, New Mexico to have a family.
There they raised 3 daughters, Sherry, Paula and Kimberly, the baby.
In 1972 they felt a calling to move back to their home state of Oklahoma. There Tee bought an established furniture store, “Hoffman Furniture Store” in Oklahoma City where people came from all over the state to purchase furniture. When the Oil Boom hit she sold the store and went into Real Estate and became one of the most successful Real Estate Agents in Oklahoma City. She always excelled in whatever field she endeavored.
In November of 2008 Tee and Darrel joined Kimberly and Ted in Plano to be closer to family. Darrel passed away in March of 2009. Kimberly and Ted have stayed steadfast at Tee’s side ever since, loving and caring for her.
Tee passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2015, “Father’s Day”, she gave birth to Kimberly 55 years ago on Father’s Day. We are sure she chose this day to commemorate her special bond to Darrel and her ever present love for Kimberly. May she be “Dancing” with Darrel and celebrating their 54 years together again!
Tee is survived by: Kimberly Sealey; Daughter, Ted Sealey; Son-in-law, Brian Lawson Sealey; Grandson, Valerie Sealey; Granddaughter-in-law, Savannah Marie Sealey; Great-Granddaughter, Katherine Anne Sealey; Granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Olsen; Daughter, Paula Ann Nord; Daughter, Jason Nord; Grandson, Brian Nord; Grandson, Elizabeth Norman; Sister, and many friends who loved her.
