Costin, Don O.
Obituary
Don O’Neal Costin, 85, of Irving, TX, died June 10, 2014. Don Costin, son of Homer and Daisy Costin, was a loving husband to Evelyn Winnette Costin. He is survived by his wife Winnette, sons Michael and Douglas, and daughter Donna Herod. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Rachell Brantley and Jake Herod, and two great-grandchildren, Jazmyn Paige and Quentin Brantley, all living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. After serving eight years in the United States Air Force, Costin worked as the President of Data Processing Association and was Communications Coordinator for Texas Stadium Corporation until his retirement in 1989, after which he owned a retail antiques business with his wife. For many years he was an active volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Scoutmaster to troop 175 in Irving. He loved fishing, silversmithing, “antiquing”, travelling the Southwest while learning about Native American culture, and playing with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held Thursday, June 19, at Aria funeral home at 1820 N. Beltline Road in Irving at 10:30 a.m. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his name to Vitas Community Connection (vitascommunityconnection.org) in recognition of the tender, loving care provided to Don during his final days with us.
Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site.
