She went on to have successful careers as an interior designer, bartender at popular Dallas destinations, paralegal, and realtor for Ebby Halliday. Many people considered Cindy one of their best friends because she treated everyone like they were her best friend. Cindy’s family especially thanks “Dr. K’s” team at Texas Oncology.
A memorial celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at Kirby’s Woodfire Grill on Greenville Avenue from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 10th. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Cindy should go to the next cancer victim that touches your life. They will need your support.

Cindy will be greatly missed as a friend and neighbor. She was always quick to stop and say hello, to make you laugh and always to make you smile. She was such a free and loving soul. Prayers continue for her friends and family.
No Karen- the thunder was Mom falling off the bar stool after Cindy started playing bartender ha ha. Mama was a light weight. Yes they are all together in a far better place than we can even imagine. Cindy has a healthy body again and can be free. We love your enthusiasm and your zest for life Cindy. I will always think of you and your artichoke dip with 5 million calories. You are the reason I got fat ha ha. Love to your family, your “kids” and to Cliff who will now need more support than ever. We are here for you. Don’t forget that. Love – Jennie
Cindy you were a dear friend ,classmate and true beauty. You lit up the room with your smile and laugh . I am truly happy that we were able to get together with you before your untimely passing. You will be missed .
When I moved out of state in 2008, Cindy was my realtor and did an excellent job in marketing my home. I had known her for some years through a mutual friend and had socialized several times. Living out of state, I had no idea she had cancer and was sick at heart when I heard the news. I recently found photos of Cindy and I at a party and thought to myself I really should call Cindy and see how she is doing. Sadly, I never got that opportunity. I learned the lesson that we should always reach out to people we know and care about before it’s too late. Cindy was so vivacious, warm, caring and funny. Always smiling, happy and upbeat. She probably has many rolling in the aisles with laughter in Heaven now. RIP. Suzanne
In my sixty years, I have met less than five people that I was immediately drawn to from across the room, and Cindy was one of them. I was not in her closest group of friends and was sorry for that. I envy those that got to spend a lot of time with her! Each time I was leaving any event and saw her, I turned around to sit and talk a while. Her smile and her positive attitude were infectious! What a crazy thing that she was blessed with the external beauty to match! I once was driving to lunch to meet friends, saw that she was showing a house, circled the block and went in to talk with her (she also tried everything to help me get this house!). I was an hour late to my lunch! Anyway, I could not say anything better than what I have already read from Karen and from Cindy’s nephew, but she will be dearly missed!
So very sorry to hear about this. My memories of Cindy incudes memories of your mother, who was such a good and dear friend of mine. My prayers are with the whole family. Love to all.
Lisa and I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers.
Dearest Cliff. Cindy was a treasure. She lit up every room she entered. I am so sorry she was taken so young!!!
So sorry to hear of the loss of such a beautiful young woman. What a very nice tribute. My heart and prayers for the family.

I didn’t know this lady, but my daughter’s oncologist at Texas Oncology was also Dr. K. A great, caring doctor. I am so sorry for your loss.
My condolences to the family. I am lifting up prayers of comfort and strength at this time.
My deepest sympathy to Ciff and Cindy’s family.
Cindy was truly one of the sweetest people I ever had the pleasure to know and am so glad to have had her as a friend. She always made me laugh….whenever I walked into work and knew we’d be working together, I knew it was going to be a good night! She was so positive and upbeat-ALL of the time! I feel privileged to have called her my friend.
She’ll be truly missed by so many!
Rest in peace my Cindy.
xoxo

Cindy, my old friend, we lost touch so many years ago when my family moved but I still think of you so often! Our days at New Friends, George Peabody and Irwindell Methodist remain in my heart and my mind as some of the happiest days of my life.
My sincerest sympathies to Sharon and Mark…your lovely sister is back in your parent’s embrace and walking with the angels. Love to you all.
Cindy was a co-worker and friend. She was energetic, fun and loved life. Cancer took its toll on her body but not her spirit. I will miss her and her trademark greeting “Hey Chump”
I met Cindy at the White Rock Athletic Club and enjoyed participating in the White Rock Marathon relay race with her and going for long walks at the lake on Sunday mornings. What laughter and joy she brought to others! She had a great sense of humor and enormous courage. We will miss her dearly!
Cindy was such a close friend in Jr. high and High school. We lost track after graduation but I still remember her as one of the sweetest friends I ever had. She will be greatly missed by her Sunset class mates and of course everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest in Peace our Dear Cindy!
I graduated with Cindy from Sunset and her friendship was so special. It is a shame that good friends can live in the same city and not see each other for so many years I am so sad that Cindy has left this earth yet plan to spend much time with her in heaven. My deepest condolences goes out for to all who loved her. God bless you
Cindy, our summer’s at Weiss Park, swimming & riding our bikes will be fondly remembered, as well as your crazy laugh & positive attitude.
My sincerest sympathies & prayers to your family.
We will miss her wonderful laugh and great attitude. Our prayers go out to Cliff and her family in this time of grief. She will be missed and always remembered.
I remember Cindy from High School. She was a classy Señor and I was a silly sophomore. I met her the year before when I dated her brother. She was so sweet to me. Helped me with my routines to try out for the Bisonettes. Everyone once in a while, I’ll remember her grace and smile and tried to emulate her. However, no one could come close. Nice that we all knew the Angel on Earth before she went to Heaven.
I met Cindy while on a UTC Audit assignment many years ago and she was managing the Bar in the Hilton Hotel where I stayed. We dated quite a bit and she was one of the finest people I ever had the privilege of knowing. I hated saying goodbye to her, but my home was in the Northeast and I knew that gal was Texas thru and thru. She was too young to be taken, and I know her family must be very sad, but remembering her positive mental attitude, I know she would want you to go forward with her always in your hearts and enjoy life to the fullest. That is the kind of wonderful person she was and I wish her family the strength to carry on in her memory, as she would have wanted them to. A very special Gal who will long be missed.
