Jimmy Ray Vaughan, 67, of Seagoville, Texas, peacefully passed away Sunday November 2, 2014 surrounded by loved ones.
Jimmy was born in Dallas, TX on August 7, 1947 to Henry and Mary Vaughan. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Henry Vaughan; mother Mary Margret Vaughan; and son James Vaughan. Those left to cherish and honor his life are his beautiful wife of 23 years Shirley; brother, Tommy; sister, Margret; son, Stephen Vaughan and spouse Veronica; daughter, Wendy Vaughan and Jason Brown; step daughter, Tami Sorrells and spouse Toby; step son, Alvin “Bubba” Moore and Barbara Chapman; grand-children, Allyson Vaughan, Jennings Brown, Tiffany Sorrells, Duston Sorrells, Colby Moore, and Amanda Moore; great-grandchildren, Breeanna Reeves, and Presley Sorrells; many countless loving and close family members to include his very close sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws, Earlene and Joe Nabors, Brenda and Billy Don Redding, Donna and Jack Cole, and Debbie Bowen.
Jimmy is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart for his dedication, bravery and service.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on November, 8, 2014 at Calvary East Baptist Church located at 1700 E Stark Rd, Dallas, TX 75253.

Worked with Jimmy at Kroger, He was a very nice person, I always enjoyed is company. God Bless him and his Family.

Jimmy's passing comes as a complete surprise. Betty and I would like to express our deepest condolences for your loss. Jimmy and I go back over 40 years. We worked together at Kroger on a couple of occasions. He was a great friend and will be missed. Dan & Betty Butler
