Obituary
Phillpott, Charles Burton (Burt) passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2014. Burt was born on September 5, 1933 in Mobile, AL to Charles Albert and Rosa Juanita Phillpott. After serving 10 years in the United States Army and Air Force he attended Auburn University, was a member of Eta Kappa Nu honors society and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Burt married Carole Hope Smith on November 26, 1958 in Mobile, AL. They have two children: Lisa Hope Spears (Walt) and Keith Burton Phillpott (Karen). He is survived by four grandchildren: Kelsie & Tyler Spears, Kyle & Jenna Phillpott. Burt was employed by Texas Instruments for 25+ years as project supervisor for various divisions and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life long member of the Community of Christ Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14 at 11:00 am at Lake Highlands UMC, 9015 Plano Rd, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Burt’s name to the American Heart Association.
