Turley, Jackson E.
Obituary
With family by his side, Jack Turley went to be with the Lord on Dec 9, 2014. Born Sept 29, 1921 in Ft Worth, TX to Clarence A. Turley & Lorene Jackson Turley.
He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of 64 years, Betty Valentine Turley. Survived by his son Eddie French and wife Nancy; grandsons Eric French and wife Cindy; John French and wife Paige; gr-grandchildren Ashley, Allison, Greyson and Jackson. Grandpa Jack was a blessing to our family making each of us feel loved and special.
He moved to Dallas as a young boy and loved to tell stories of growing up in Dallas, attending North Dallas H.S. and meeting the love of his life, Betty. After joining the Marines in Dec 1941, he served in the South Pacific. He went on to enjoy a successful 40-year career with Adleta Corp, working his way up to G.M. He was a member of Oak Lawn UMC for 85 years and a long-time member of Lakewood CC.
Jack missed Betty every day since her death in 2008 and looked forward to the day they would be reunited in heaven.
A graveside service with Military Honor Guard is planned for both of them on Mon, Jan 12 at 10:45 a.m. at the DFW National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Flags for Fallen Vets.
