Bill Mims was an amazing person. as he fought for his country and he fought to be with his family he wouldn't have haad it any other way. He was so caring that he always put his needs and wants before anyone else. as I stood looking at my grandfather for the last time he stared at me, it was in this moment I knew what he wanted me to say to you all today.
Dear family and friends,
please try o understand what I am now , not think of me how I was I was alone shut in my fears, my frustration, and my forgetfulness. forgive me if I stroke out at you. those twisted tangles in my brain messed my world up,but im free now watching all of you.right now. Don't be sad, be happy, wipe those tears off nanas face for me and tell her I love her.
and I looked at him and knew he was afraid to go because he didn't wanna live you, nana. but we wil take care of her papa I promise.

Remembering Bill Mims-
From the day we met, he always had a smile and a hug for me. Bill was kind, interesting, smart, athletic and creative. He loved working with wood and once made us a beautiful cactus sculpture. Bill made a thoughtful DVD movie for Brent's 40th birthday. He was always engaging and warm. He loved the outdoors and in the 90s we took a few jogs together on some nice days. He was always supportive of our kid's track and gym meets. Bill and Debby would make it to many of their meets in N Texas. Bill was fun and easy to talk with, he could talk about anything. We will miss Bill. He was a wonderful family man and brother in law. We had really fun sibling times together in Austin, Plano, Las Vegas and New Orleans. We will cherish the good times. Rest in Peace Bill

Daddy, I miss you so much. We really had a wonderful life together and I will always miss your funny personality and the ability to call you with any computer issues or car trouble. You showed me the importance of hard work and unconditional love. You are now in heaven with my beloved children as well as your Mom and Dad. Kiss them all for me and I will see you again in God's Kingdom. Love forever, your daughter Shelly.
