Obituary
Harry T. Hubbard of McLean, Virginia passed away on February 26, 2015 in Richardson, Dallas County, Texas. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne, his twin brother, Gus F. Hubbard and his father and mother, Augustus (Gus) & Tressie Hubbard. Hubbard & his brother grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas. He enjoyed a career of 48+ years with the CAA/FAA. He retired in 1990 having served as Chief of the Washington National Tower, Washington, D.C. for 18 years. He was a member of St. John’s Church, Lafayette Square, Washington, D.C. and a Life member of the Masonic Lodge, San Antonio, Texas. Along with his precious Pomeranian dog, Angel, Hubbard is survived by sister-in-law, Betty Hubbard Nickell, his two nieces, Marilyn O’Hara (her son Jarrett & daughter Chelsea) and Kathy Smith (her son, Clint and daughter Chrissy, son-in-law Chad Stansell, grandsons Dylan & Duke). Hubbard has many friends in the Washington, D.C. area and in the Federal Aeronautics Administration community who will be saddened by his death. Inurnment for Harry & Jeanne will be at a later date at the DFW National Cemetery, Arlington, Texas. Because of Harry’s deep admiration & respect for the knowledge of animals, it is suggested that memorials may be made, in his name, to Operation Kindness. www.operationkindness.org for information) or to the charity of your choice.
