Delonna and Miles, We just heard the news. We are so very sorry. Please know we are saying prayers for you and your family. May God hold you close and comfort you.
We were fortunate to have Michael and his family as neighbors and good friends through his childhood. Michael was such an exceptional boy and young man. He was blessed with a very loving family. Our prayers are with them.
What a blessing to have known Mike for many years. His laid-back and positive outlook will always be remembered. Prayers for the Hyland family.
Scott and I are very sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Godspeed, Michael. You were the best of us!
Delonna, we are saddened to hear about Michael. We saw Ann in January and she told us he was struggling. We didn’t see him dropping off Miles at CCDC for quite some time and then received a note from Annick. Michael was a very good man, extremely talented, so kind and gentle. I never heard him complain. He’s finally comfortable, no more pain and playing the piano for the King of Kings – our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Gob Bless you and Miles. If we can do anything for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. Jim, Vanessa and Andrew
I had the privilege to have known Mike for 35 years. The world is a better place because of him. Farewell my friend, until we meet again.
God bless you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Mike was a wonderful person and I am a much better person for knowing him.
My deepest sympathies for your family. Mike is always remembered with such kind and warm memories. His positive attitude and humor created such a great energy to be near. What a blessing to have had him in our lives. My prayers are with the family.
Delonna and Miles, We are at a loss for words. We have faith that someday you will be reunited again. Until that time, our prayers are that God gives you peace and strength. When you do not have strength, that He will carry you and comfort you both.
I’m so sorry for the loss of Michael. I had the pleasure of knowing him both in high school and then later being able to reconnect on Facebook. I’ll always remember Michael’s sense of humor and compassionate heart. I also respect the courage he had in pursuing his ambitions zealously and not allowing CF to get in the way of what he wanted to do. Delonna and Miles even though I don’t know you both personally –you guys are both in my prayers
Having the Hyland family only 3-4 doors down from us growing up, we were all so fortunate to have known Michael and his family from Michael’s earliest days. He was such an intelligent, fun loving and strong individual with a spirit tohat embraced the challenges of CF. Michael made his impact on this world and we are all better for the time we had with him.
I would like to express my condolences to the family of my classmate. I am glad to read that he was very involved in his church. He is now playing the sweetest music anyone could ever imagine. God Bless
Delonna and Miles, May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you strength in the difficult times ahead. Our prayers are with you.
It’s so hard to say goodbye to Mike. The good memories are too numerous to count, and I am a better person for having known him. I’m thankful for his strong faith and testimony, and the assurance of where he is spending eternity. Look forward to seeing him again! My heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to Karen, Dave, Delonna and Miles. Lots of love and hugs, Kathleen
Super guy a wonderful joy to work with and know. Many prayers and thoughts for the family.
Delonna, I was shocked and extremely saddened to learn that Mike had passed. Hope you and your son Miles find comfort in knowing how much Mike was loved by so many people. He and I were on the same “dad’s club” soccer teams as kids and then were fraternity brothers later at Purdue. Mike was always a class act – so talented, smart, and funny.
Dear Delonna, we are so sad to hear of Mike’s passing. He will be missed by all who were privileged to know him. We pray that you and Miles will be comforted in the knowledge that he made the most of his (too) short time on this earth, inspiring all who crossed his path.
With love from your neighbors – Martha and Bill

Delonna and Miles. Im so sorry for your loss. Mike is in a better place now. Remember all the good times you had together and cherish them
We were also blessed to grow up with the Hylands in Cool Creek. I have many memories of those years and all include Mike in some way. From kick the can to running through “Mug Alley” we ruled the neighborhood for a time. I’ll remember Mike delivering the Indianapolis News to all the neighbors and a trip to Florida with the whole Hyland family. Rest In Peace Mike, you were a role model to all of us! Our sympathies to Delonna, Miles, Karen, Dave and all the Hylands.
I just found out about Mike’s passing. My son and I got to know Mike and Delonna while attending Lake Highlands UMC. Mike was a wonderful person and exemplified the best any man could ever be. He was funny, and smart and caring and I could go on and on. I am sorry that he is gone but happy to know that God will have him in his hands from now on. Love you Mike!
