McMurry, Jacqueline "Jackie"

July 17, 1949 - February 20, 2015

Jacqueline “Jackie” West McMurry passed away on Friday, February 20th 2015 in Richardson, TX at the age of 65.

Beloved daughter of George and Mary (Christoff) West, she graduated from Mineral Wells High School where she was the head cheerleader and voted a class favorite.

Jackie held various jobs in Dallas in banking, customer service and with charitable foundations.  Jackie was very proud of her work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Shriners of Dallas.  She was moved and inspired to help those less fortunate – especially if they were children.

Jackie was the most giving soul that graced the earth.  She would give strangers the shirt off her back – literally. And even though she didn’t have much, Jackie always made sure those around her shared in anything she had to offer.

Her driving force and motivation, though, was her love of her children and grandchildren.  Nothing made her more happy than to see her children succeed or to give a gift – no matter how small – to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Joey McMurry (Jody); her daughter Molly McCormack (Sean); her grandchildren Josh, Sarah, Hailey (preceded in death April 2003), Sam and William; her beloved sisters Patty Sanders (Warren), Georgianne Lee (Terry, preceded in death Jan 2013) and Barbara Chapman (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

She will surely be missed by all who love her.

A private celebration of life ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 14th, 2015.  In lieu of flowers (and in honor of Jackie’s lifelong commitment to generosity), the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or The Salvation Army (www.salvationarmy.org).

For the small time that I have known you, your spirit, presences and smile always overwhelmed me. Each time I saw you; I beheld you as snappy dresser and just loved your style. I will miss you but never will forget you. Thank you Jackie! Continued prayers for the family.

Dearest Jackie; please let me start by Wishing you a Very Happy Birthday. I know that you are celebrating with all your Precious Family, whom you loved and spoke of so often. You missed all of them so very much. I know you didn’t want to Leave your Family and Friends. But, Our Lord and Savior “Called you Name” and you answered the call. I have never met anyone as kind and giving and caring and selfless as you. Perhaps my grieving will be made a bit easier, now that I have finally found you…Joe and I miss your friendship so much. I even sometimes ask him “Do you believe she is really gone” Joe would answer, yes, she is gone to heaven. Please know how much I loved you Jackie; and a Better Friend; I shall never find another. Rest in Peace my Friend. I love you Eternally, and I am so Thankful that you are no longer in Pain. You Bore Your Suffering, So Quietly, So Nobly, and with such Grace…See you in Heaven My “Duchess” I can’t believe that you are no longer among us. My Heart is Forever Broken…

I will never find another You!

Rest In Peace!
Dee S. McQuirk

Excellent customer service, they made you feel like you were their only customer. Very helpful and explained what we should expect during the process. They basically took care of our needs during this time. They contacted DFW National Cemetery for us which made it a smooth experience. Definitely will use them again.
