Adcock, Patrick M.
Obituary
Patrick Mark Adcock went home to the Lord on Friday, March 6. He is now pain free, and with his Momma. Patrick was a strong and faithful friend, husband, father, brother, son, grandson, uncle, and nephew. He suffered from inappropriate humor on many occasion, and would make you laugh so hard you would spit what you were drinking through your nose. He was loved by so many, you couldn’t count them. He could have a 2 hour conversation with a total stranger, and have them laughing as well. He said the Super Bowl was more important than Christmas. He may have even thought that the New Orleans Saints were actual saints. We had him for 44 years, and we were blessed for that. He was ill for many years before he passed, but he never failed to let everyone know he loved them. He will be missed dearly every day. He was preceded in death by his Mother Patricia Diane Stewart Rodriguez, his father Charles Willis Adcock, his sister’s Tracy Diane Adcock, Angela Faith Adcock, and his brother Charles Willis Adcock Jr. His dearest friends Shawn McDaniels and Traci Lynn Davis. He is survived by his soul mate and wife Laura Lea Adcock, his sons Sean M. Adcock, Gordon A. Whistler, and Joseph Phillips all of Irving, TX. His sister Jamie Adcock of LA. His Grandmother Penny Newman of Shreveport, LA, his Aunt and Uncle, Darlene and Kevin Martin also of Shreveport, LA. His Aunt Ann Stewart of LA. His Aunt and Uncle, Suzie and John Danet of Alabama. His Aunt Laura Rhoades of Maryland. Aunt Sybil Willis of Grand Prairie, TX. Aunt and Uncle, Patsy and Eartis Cannon of Haughton, LA. Uncle and Aunt, Fred and Barbara Stewart. Life long friends Glenda David, Gabriella Jones, Michael A. Davis, and Michael Brumley. Multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. And many other friends. Services will be graveside in Ida, Louisiana at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery. Date to be announced. Please send the family condolences and sign the guest book on this site. Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew him and those who only just met him. God bless you and comfort you and you family. Loves Always, Icephene
My heart and Prayers go out to Laura and the boys.
I was honored to meet Patrick through work..He always made the days brighter with his humor…. He was truly one of the good guys in this world and I’m positive he is pain-free now watching over his family here and I can just picture St Peter shaking his head and smirking as Patrick parades around in heaven….I will always remember you my friend♥
Patrick I miss you more than ever sweetie, you were always such a great nephew and I loved you so much. I have been enjoying the stories that all your friends have been sharing. I love you, rest in peace. love, Aunt Laura
Patrick will be missed immensely by everyone who knew him. I too met Patrick through work. He was one of a kind, a good friend and an all-around good guy. He left us TOO SOON. May God look after Laura as she goes through the difficult task of carrying on without him. Rest in peace, my friend, and hopefully we will all get to meet again on the other side.
For eternity and beyond
You were such a pleasure to be around. I remember when I took Gordon car shopping and we played a joke on you and said we bought an expensive BMW, but actually got a Camry. I’ll never forget how genuinely you thanked me and shook my hand. You were a good, funny guy who left this world too soon.
