We will always remember our fun times watching theater productions together at SMU; having our special dinner theater at your house watching your narrated videos from places all over the world where you and Bev visited. You prepared delicious recipes we will always remember, especially those with your favorite Ingredients-Balsamic vinegar or Hungarian paprika.
Beverly is our cousin and we know she and Andy have gone through a hard couple of years with Andy’s health problems…and they both have always had positive thoughts throughout…Andy was a sweet soul and loved his family very much….he will be missed.
Heaven has received another angel! I wish I had gotten to know Andy more. I am sorry for your family’s loss. He was a good man. Know he is in a much better place and he will
Always be with you in your heart.
Loved him and will miss him so much.
Dear Beverly and family,

At SMU, Andy was always smiling, always willing to go the extra mile to help everyone. His caring expertise was very much missed when he retired.
Beverly,
I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I am sad that Andy will no longer be with us on earth. He will be with us in spirit when we hear Broadway musicals and enjoy authentic Italian food. He taught us so much about wordplay, music and theater. He had a zest for life and just wasn’t satisfied until he had seen all there was to see wherever he went. There will be a big hole in our lives for a while to come. You will be missed, Andy. Love, Deb
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Bev and your family.
I will always cherish the memories of our golf trips to Hot Springs! Andy was a friend and colleague. He was a gentleman and such a kind soul. Rest in peace Andy! You will be missed.
Clifton and I are so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
I was at UT with Andy in German House and have wonderful memories of what a dear man he was. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Although I have not seen him or been in contact for many years, he has been in my thoughts and just this last week I related an “Andy” story. I know he will be missed!
I was privileged to sing with Andy since he joined Big D. Although most of the time I spent with Andy was at Big D functions, it wasn’t until he became lll that I really learned what l a remarkable person he was. Seldom have I known anyone as brave. He told me, in detail, about his condition in a way that made me understand that he didn’t want any pity.He laughingly told me he would let me pray for him. And I did. Please accept my most sincere condolences. Dan Galvan. 127
Andy was a great man in many ways but I had the honor of knowing him as a supporter and adult leader in our Boy Scout Troop. He was a great leader in that he always had a knack for putting a positive spin on things and his optimistic outlook on life was contagious. You’ll be missed Andy!
Andy and I sang tenor with the Big-D Barbershop Chorus. I could always depend on Andy’s accuracy since he could read music and I can’t! A most knowledgeable and likable man and one I took pride in calling my friend.
Beverly,Lois l and myself are so sorry! I miss you guys very much. Please let me know what I can do to help! Randy and Lois

Andy was our main contact at SMU regarding the SMU employees’ health and dental plans.
The company I worked for administered these. Andy was always professional, kind and understanding regarding what the SMU folks needed. He was one of my favorite clients ever. Beverly and family, I am so sorry for your loss, it is huge. God bless you all. Vickie Harrison
Dear Lumpkin Family,
I am so sorry to learn of cousin Andy’s passing. He is in great company, however. I will see you the 28th! Much love, Kay
We will never forget the day Andy came by our office to sing to Trish on Valentine’s Day! Such a sweet man..he will be missed.
I worked at SMU in the HR dept with Andy in the mid to late 90’s. Andy was a thoughtful & caring man. Not just to his family and friends, he genuinely cared about every person who he helped as the benefits mgr. He was one of a kind for sure. Loved his family, loved to cook; first time I ever heard about taboulah. I believe he sang in the staff choir at SMU. I also remember that he kept a daily diary for a huge part of his life. What treasures those will be for his family. I lost touch with Andy after leaving SMU 16 years ago. It breaks my heart to finally ‘catch up’ with him as I just happened to run across a FB post about his passing. Beverly, my sincerest condolences to you and the family. Hope to stop by on Saturday.
I knew Andy many years ago working with him at Alexander & Alexander and in reading other messages, it doesn’t sound as though he changed much. I always remembered him and his funny stories. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
