I have known Raquel for around 17 years if not more. We met at St. Johns health center. She was so nice, sweet, and funny and had a heart of gold. I missed hanging out and having drinks with her after she moved to Texas but I knew she was happy and in love. When you see a friend so happy you only wish them the best and she found that happiness from the first day she met Jose. Jose I send my condolences to you and the family for the lost of golden person my friend Raquel. My God bless you, the boys and the girls until you guys meet again.
Always Monique Baxter.

Words can not express the loss. I went to St. Gerard's with Raquel way back when and she was always happy go lucky ad a matter of fact her love for skates back then was huge, so huge she arranged a performance for the school with other classmates. What I would give to see her perform that again. I was so blessed to re-connect with her so many years later. Thoughts and prayers to her entire family. Rock on girlfriend!

I enjoyed knowing Raquel through the Garland Quilt Guild. Several times I joined her for Zumba - until my knees rebelled. I was her secret pal at the guild last year, and enjoyed shopping for Day of the Dead items for her, as this was something she mentioned she liked. I admired her dedication to exercising and how she was so involved with enjoying life. She was a real asset to our guild, and will be greatly missed. It's so unfair that her young family will be without their mother. My heart goes out to all her family and friends.
