Johnson, Robert D.

Born on October 13, 1924 in Moultrie, GA and passed away on July 13, 2015 in Mesquite, TX. He volunteered for the army in Nov. 25. 1942 and served in the 221st Field Art. Batallion in the Southwest Pacific.  After serving our country, Robert went on to be a ceramic tile contractor.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Randall “Randy” Johnson.

He is survived by his daughters, Gina Witcher and Joan Johnson; former wife, Polly Johnson; and sister, Clara Mimbs of Macon, GA.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2pm on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Disabled Veterans.
