Wolchik, William "Bill" C.

William “Bill” Charles Wolchik was born in Houston, Texas, on December 30, 1949 to the late Frank and Jean Wolchik. Bill was an extremely proud native Texan who lived in this great state of Texas his entire life. Bill passed away on July 15, 2015.

He was a loyal fan of the Rice Owls; LSU Tigers; Houston Oilers;  and  later the Houston Texans – no matter how their season was going. Bill basically loved the game of football.  Classic cars and drag racing were also a life long passion.

Bill was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and  worked at Texas Instruments the majority of his career as an ESH Specialist first in the Houston area and then later in Dallas.

He had a very irreverent and wonderful sense of humor and possessed numerous funny sayings which probably shouldn’t be repeated.

Bill is survived by his wife, Annie Wolchik (m. 9/15/2004); Daughter, Kristen Wolchik of Dallas, Texas; Step-Sons,  Andy Johnson of  Dallas, Texas; and Alex Johnson of Pharr, Texas. He will also be missed dearly by his beloved Maine Coon cat named Rudy who was his buddy until the end with his soft fur, his kind green understanding eyes, and his listening ear.

Bill was quite a character to be sure so it only stands to reason he wouldn’t have a normal send off.

Please join us at his Celebration of Life which will be held:

Saturday, August. 8, 2015 at 4:30pm
401 Keen Ave.  Wylie, TX 75098
It’s the area where he stored his beloved classic cars.
If you can find Rod’s Car Craft in Wylie- you’re about 400 feet away via a gravel road.

There will be shade, powerful fans, BBQ and fixings, beer, assorted non-alcoholic drinks, and some hilarious stories about Bill and his life adventures. If you’re ok to share stories, we’re ok to hear them!

In a perfect world anyone could google       Bill Wolchik’s Celebration of Life        and arrive at a public facebook page to RSVP .

But since technology is what it is it may not be up quite yet.

There will be kids there and possibly even a few dogs (on leashes we hope!) so feel free to bring someone(s) with you.

Dress is mandatory extremely comfortable and casual- Bill would want it that way.

“Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are with us”

The stars at night are big and bright….deep in the heart of Texas….

I hope Bill's send off brought comfort to all. It's tough to say goodbye, but comforting to know the pain is over. Love to you, Annie! Condolences to all the family, also.
