Shortman, Claudia B.
Obituary
Claudia Beatrix Shortman went to be with the Lord August 24,2015 after a long illness and patient in a local Nursing Home, suffering from Altzheimers/dementia. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 17, 1936 to Claude and Beatrix Horn as an only child. Following two years at Kansas University, she was most proud to become an Administrative Assistant to Hank Stram, then Head Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs professional football team. All who knew her appreciated her beauty, loyalty, outgoing personality, and a priceless friend. Claudia had one daughter, Dawn, and one grandson, Brandon with first husband, Don Miller of Kansas City, Missouri. Later she married Kenneth Shortman of Dallas, Texas, who died suddenly of a heart attack after a very short marriage. Several years later she met Fred Williams of Dallas, Texas and, during the last 27 years became a treasured friend and companion. Her wish was to be buried with her mother and father in Yellville, Arkansas. A Memorial Service was held in Faith Chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church on September 3rd, 2015 with Gordon (Chip) Brunott and Charles Hebert, of Prestonwood Pastoral Care officiating. Claudia was deeply loved, and will be missed! Anyone wanting to further honor Claudia, please make your contribution to your favorite Charity.
