Walter William Link, age 71, died peacefully on September 22, 2015 in Plano, TX. Walt is survived by his wife, Louise; son, Daniel and his wife, Tia; daughter, Joslyn Meserve and her husband, Stephen; and grandchildren Ashley and Wyatt Link. Walt was born on January 30, 1944 in San Antonio to Minnie Shultz and Otto Link. He was raised in Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He married Louise Plechas in 1969. He was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. Walt was a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and enjoyed fishing. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May the sadness and heartache lighten over time, as you remember and keep close in your heart the many happy memories of your father. Joslyn we are all thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
I had the pleasure of meeting Walter via the BI group that meets on Fridays at the Plano Chamber. He was a dear man with a kind heart. He will be missed by those of us on earth but the angels are rejoicing in Heaven.
Got to know Walter and Louise on an Alaskan Cruise. What a great couple and Walter was so thoughtful and exclusive. Louise, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Steve and I just learned of Walter’s passing! Won’t ever see a whale without thinking of Walter!
