Thomas Micheal Spikes, aged 60, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2014, at Dallas Methodist Hospital.

Born May 25, 1955, in Dallas, TX; he was a life-long resident of Dallas. Tom was an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboys football team fan. He was a former long-haul truck driver. He loved cars and rock and roll music. He had a special love of animals and had many pets during his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Clairise (Verbick) Lawson, his step-father, Joe Frank Lawson, his sister, Cynthia Marie (Lawson) Teel, his father, Thomas Spikes, all of Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations from friends and relatives to be given in his memory to churches or charities of their choice.

Arrangements are by Aria Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Internment at Fort Parker Cemetery in Groesbeck, TX.

Sorry to read in the Dallas paper about Thomas passing. I’m a distant cousin. His father being my uncle Tommy passed away Sept.7 2013.

Excellent customer service, they made you feel like you were their only customer. Very helpful and explained what we should expect during the process.
