Obituary

The night of September 30, 2015 our Mom, Rozanna Swaim Hinsch began preparing to join the love of her life in Heaven. She passed peacefully with a smile on her face, knowing how much she was loved. Mom had worked for Sears during the early years of her marriage to Lincoln.  Together they raised our family.  She was a stay-at-home mom until she got all of her children in school and then went to work with DISD until her retirement in 1999 .  Mom meant so much to so much many people.  To us, she was a great mom, mother -in-law, Gran, GG Mom and friend. Rozanna is survived by her daughter Susan, and her husband James Dominy of Dallas, their children: Justin & Malina Johnson  and their son Jay Ryan Johnson of Dallas,  Jordan Johnson of Dallas, Courtney Johnson  and her son Kade Milan Sanchez of Dallas, Brad & Mimi Dominy of Dallas, Angie and John Harris  along with their daughters Kayla, Karson and Caroline of Burleson;  son Steve and his wife Hollis along with their son Chrismon Durham Hinsch of Athens, Georgia; son Scott and his wife Kerry  along with their son Jack Lincoln Hinsch and daughter,Hannah Joy Hinsch of Sammamish, Washington.  Along with her children, she is survived by her church community, extended family, numerous friends and neighbors that all loved and cared for her so much. Mom, we wish you fun times with Dad as you two reconnect in Heaven. Have fun and dance like nobody is watching. We all love you so very much. Arrangements are under the direction of ARIA Cremation Service and Funeral Home 19310 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75252 214-306-6700

I was privileged to know Rozanna and Lincoln…what a blessing they were to me personally, and to Spring Valley Methodist Church. Rozanna’s sweet presence will be missed by many.

Growing up two doors down from the Hinsch’s I have a million memories of Rozanna and the whole family. I am so happy that we have stayed in touch over the years. I know she is at peace now and with her beloved, Lincoln. Much love to the family.

In 1989 I went to work for Hair Tech and met Rozanna. I became her hairdresser and friend. She followed me to seven different salons. We had many laughs and a few tears. While Lincoln was alive Rozanna’s parting words to me were Lincoln said “Tell Barbara hi” and then she’d kiss and tell me she loved me. I will miss her.

Rozanna was a dear sweet neighbor that had a wonderful humor. She will be missed but know that she is healthy and happy with Lincoln.

Mrs. Hinsch was always so professional and kind; she helped me so much my first teaching year at Woodrow Wilson; she will always be a good memory, and now, she will join my wife, Dolores, and they will praise Jesus together.

Susan, Scott & Steve, you three were so privileged to have had such wonderful loving parents as Lincoln and Rozanna. They both loved their family and their church family so much. We will miss your mom in our Beacon Sunday School class at Spring Valley UMC.
We know that Rozanna has joined her beloved Lincoln and they are now among the saints in heaven.

Our friendship with Rozanna came from our membership in the Beacon Sunday School class. She and Lincoln were two that could take command of the room when they walked in. Her smile was her welcome mat and she never said “hello” without that smile to back it up. I learned that Rozanna was an Oak Cliff and Sunset High School graduate like myself. That made her special. When diagnosed with cancer and months of chemotherapy, I was the recipient of many cards from the Beacon members. A card from Rozanna came week, after week, after week, and always enclosed with a personal, handwritten note for my recovery. I know that your turmoil has turned to joy as you join your forever love, Lincoln, where the stars never stop their shinning.

"Nothing prepares you for the grief you go through when losing a child. I called this funeral home at 2:00 am broken and could barely talk. The amount of compassion and empathy they showed me immediately let me know I found the right place to cremate my son. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism, SINCERE concern, and commitment to making sure my son was honored in the most respectful way. I hope this Funeral home values her as much as my family and I do."

"I can’t say enough about how helpful and professional Dusty Martin, the funeral director at the Aria Cremation location on NW Highway has been. From my initial call, he was kind and informative. My friend died at home while on hospice and she was picked up in about an hour after receiving the call from the hospice nurse. The person who arrived to pick her up was also very professional/respectful and allowed us to take as much time with her as we wished. When I met with Dusty the next day about arrangements, he explained the process and options available without being pushy or trying to “sell” extras. Throughout the process, he kept me informed and, for example, was careful to be certain I understood the cost of the obituary I wanted and offered some options for reducing that cost if I wished. When I stopped by for another reason and started talking about some of the problems I was having with the pictures and media I hoped to use at a memorial lunch I was planning, he not only listened patiently but offered technology advice and let me use his personal media player. I have had experience arranging cremations for four others using two other local companies, and this experience with Dusty at Aria has been by far the best one I have had."

"My Daddy’s service and our family experience at Aria Northwest Highway was truly blessed. Funeral Director Dustin Martin is the kind of person that you would like to see on a more regular basis – but in his industry – you hope to not see him that often. That being said – THANK YOU DUSTIN for your unending kindness, compassion and friendship through the process. Meeting you and discussing Dallas History, Find A Grave and my Dad’s lifelong contributions to the great City of Dallas was simply wonderful! In memory of my dad James A. Dodd, Sr. – I want to personally thank you and let you know that you made everything better in that moment. Your calling to “Be There” is spot on. Aria has a one in a million guy in you! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: God Bless You!!"
