Holts, Mary Patricia Tosto
Obituary
Mary Patricia Tosto Holts, 69
Mary Patricia Tosto Holts, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on October 23, 2015. Mary was born on August 8th, 1946 in Stuart, Florida, the daughter of the late Peter and Hazel Tosto.
Mary graduated from Miami Senior High School and went on to live several years in Germany. She later returned to the United States and spent most of her married life in Miami raising her children and caring for her family with the late Kirkland Eugene Holts. In 2005, she relocated to the Dallas area where she lived with her children, grandchildren and extended family.
Mary thoroughly enjoyed her family and friends. She loved playing cards, monopoly and loved to watch her soap opera shows and many other television programs. Mary was born an only child which caused her to fall in love with her animals. She absolutely loved animals and had lots of them. Cats, dogs, birds, bunny rabbits, you name it. In addition to loving animals, Mary loved to cook and spent a lot of her time in the kitchen preparing meals for her family and loved ones.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Carmen Gonzalez and Millicent E. Holts; son, Scott E. Holts; eight grandchildren, Scottie, Tiffany, Joseph, Jordan, Jonathan, Isabella, Hannah and Grace; great-grandchild, Skileah; daughter and son in law, Phyllis Holts and Robert Gonzalez; brother and sister in law, Randall and Sharlene Holts and family; aunt, Wanda Zayas; cousin, Mary, Zayas and a number of other relatives and friends. Donna Lewis became a dear friend of the family, and helped to care for Mary during her illness. In addition to raising her own children, Mary helped raise David and Melissa Paisley.
The family finds much comfort in John 11:25-26, Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? And the answer is Yes, Mary believed!
There will be a service held at North Dallas Funeral Chapel 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, Texas 75234, on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dade Memorial Park in Miami, Florida at a later date.
