Robert had a very gentle soul. I will never forget the day he showed up at LL Hotchkiss elementary school in 1963 and joined our struggling basketball team. We did not struggle after his arrival. I enjoyed a very long friendship with Robert. Like so many things in life, we get so busy we loose touch with old friends, RIP Robert, RIP.
Robert had a great heart. My father brought him into our home and he became an instant family member. He was going to Texas Tech University at the time and they working on making a Golf Club that would become Pan American Golf Association. He so much passion and determination that he kept with him until they very end including trying to beat his cancer. We love him dearly and shall be missed very much. He really touched our souls. Thank you Robert for coming into our lives! From Frank, Ramona, Laura and Alyssa Rangel. Rest in peace and Love you!
Robert was a great guy. I met Robert when my father brought him home in Lubbock as he was going to Texas Tech University. My father and Robert wanted to start a Golf Club and with his determination they set up the Pan American Golf Association. Robert always had admirable qualities to the very end including trying to beat his cancer. My family will truly miss him. Thank you Robert for touching our souls and becoming part of our little family. Love Frank, Ramona, Laura and Alyssa Rangel.
Our deepest sympathies to the Cabello family and friends who will miss his great smile and friendly personality.
He played a very important role in documenting countless cultural and political events, family gatherings, in the City of Dallas that express the growing influence of Latinos in the last 40 years. Rest in Peace Amigo. Hector & Tula Flores & Family
I met Robert at Texas Tech in 1974 where we were both studying photography and working at The Varsity Bookstore across the street. He was always a good friend to me over the years and I will miss him dearly.
