I wrote this the other night to try and put down in some way how I feel about Tony and his beautiful family!
It is 11:07pm and I just returned from the home of one of my best friends in this world Tony Yasilli. He is my brother in every way and I love Tony as I know many of you do as well.
Tony Yasilli passed away tonight around 8:30pm after a nearly 6 year battle with Cancer. While the disease has taken him from us his spirit will live on in his three sons, Ryan, Sam, AJ and Dana his wonderful wife. We are truly devastated by the loss of a truly wonderful man, loving father, devoted husband and a wonderful coach and mentor for our boys!
I feel only love in my heart for Tony because I know he is now out of pain and in a much better place…may God bless Tony Yasilli and his entire family.
I would ask the Lord to place his loving hands upon them all in their terrible hour of need. May their faith in God be their guiding light through this tragic time in their lives.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of them and I ask for those that knew him to pray for his family today!!
God Bless Tony and the entire Yasilli family
Dana, it feels like forever since I have seen you. You are in my prayers along with your boys. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Paul and Cathy,
We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your son! You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time! Paul, Jr. is in a better place now and resting peacefully with our Lord. May God comfort you in the days ahead. Please let us know if there is anything that you need!
I first knew of Tony as a coach of the Tigers. But came to know Tony more when he joined the Bridewell Foundation Board of Directors and Camp Esperanza team. Tony was looking for a way to give back to an organization that fights cancer just like Tony fought it. Much like all of us were blessed to know Tony, the Bridewell Foundation and many kids were blessed to have Tony fighting for them as he raised money, provided guidance and loaded buses to send the kids off to Camp (with Ryan). Bless you Tony for your example, leadership and giving. The world is a better place because of you and your family. Dana, Ryan, Sam and AJ – our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our prayers are with the Yasilli family for comfort today, and in the weeks and months ahead. Tony will always be remembered as a person of strong principal, partnered with a gentle, kind spirit. A very good combination. His life, and the good that he did, will touch and positively affect people that will never have met him. We are blessed that we did.
Dana, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and the boys. Hugs
Dana – So sorry for your family’s loss. Wishing you and your boys comfort during this difficult time. Tony was a great man and he will be missed. Wishing you all the best, Rob & Cory Sureck
Paul and Cathy,
No parent should have to bury their child. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. We didn’t know your son but knowing you, we can understand what an honor it was to see him grow into such a fine man. May God bless with the strength to endure your loss. Please offer our sympathy to his wife and children. They will need your strength in the coming months.r
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Tony will always protect and watch over the family, now your Guardian Angel in Heaven.
