So sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing
Jerry was a genuinely nice guy, always a friendly greeting and enjoyable conversation. He was musically wonderful and knew the spirit and enthusiasm (pun intended) of Mary Kay. Jerry was the guy that could smooth over any glitch in a show and generate a great level of excitement in the audience.
The Dallas music scene has lost a great artist. I feel honored to have known Jerry. May he rest in peace.
My condolences to Jerry’s family, especially his sister, Lorraine who I knew from working with her when Barry and she took new Sales Directos’ pictures. I remember Jerry ‘s wonderful talent and lively music that always generated excitement and enthusiasm.
I was shocked today to hear of jerry’s passing. Jerry was without a doubt the best music teacher I ever had.He introduced me to the B3 Hammond organ with Leslie Speaker and taught me to play it well.Jerry was also a dear friend, and father figure to me after my dad passed when I was only 13 years old.He taught me how to fly,to water ski,and took me and my mother to colorado several times on road trips. The memories are too many to mention here.Thank You Jerry, for giving me the tools I needed to become the professional musician I am today.Rest in Peace,my dear friend.I never told you what a great, positive impact you had on my life,so I will tell you here.Words can not express the sadness i feel right now.Goodbye,Old Friend. You will be greatly missed. If there is a Hammond organ in Heaven, you are playing it right now! Love Paul Allen
